Veteran Director “AMEER Sultan” does the hero role in YOGI for the first time. After his early successful films like Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002), Raam (2005) and Paruthiveeran (2007), he decided to direct another film with any one of SURYA, VIJAY and VIKRAM. But due to some reasons all the projects have dropped.
So Ameer Sultan decided to write another new script and produced by himself and directed by Subramaniya Shiva, who earlier directed films like Thiruda Thirudi and Pori. Then Ameer searched for cast and crew for this project. But unfortunately, no leading actors and actresses were ready to act in this film.
The songs were released on September 13th. There are six songs in the film. The lyrics were written by Snehan and also acts in this film and music was composed by none other Yuvan Shankar Raja as his usual films. Ameer also sung one song in this film.
The film is expected to be an action screenplay, especially the faces of urban slum like Chennai. Yogi film was censored and got “U/A” certificate.
